Rated for the heat and the wind.
Shingle roofing in Las Vegas takes a beating from summer heat, intense UV and strong gusts. We replace and repair architectural asphalt shingle roofs with heat-rated underlayment, wind-rated shingles and ventilation suited to desert attics. Every roof is installed to the manufacturer's specifications so the material warranty holds.
Inspection, photo report and a fixed written price.
Shingles age from the top down and the bottom up: sun on the surface, attic heat underneath. These are the signs we see most on Valley homes.
Shingles shed their mineral granules as they age. Without them, the asphalt underneath loses its UV protection.
Heat and poor attic ventilation dry shingles out until the edges curl up and catch the wind.
Dark, smooth spots where the granules are gone show the shingle itself is breaking down.
Strong gusts can break the sealant bond and tear shingles off, exposing nail lines and underlayment.
South- and west-facing slopes take the most sun, and they're usually the first to crack.
Water stains on the sheathing, damp insulation or daylight around vents point to failures you can't see from the yard.
Most shingle work in the Valley falls into one of these paths. Your inspection decides which one fits your roof.
Shingles are only as good as what's under them and how they're fastened. We confirm all of it before we price the job.
Shingles need a minimum slope, and lower pitches need a double layer of underlayment. We confirm your pitch before specifying the system.
Trapped attic heat ages shingles from below. We balance intake and exhaust so the new roof isn't baking from underneath.
Shingles show every dip in the deck. We check sheathing for soft spots and price repairs per sheet up front.
Layering over old shingles hides deck problems and adds weight. We count the layers and price a tear-off to the deck.
We specify shingles with wind ratings suited to your home and use the nailing pattern the manufacturer requires for that rating.
Valleys, walls and roof edges are where shingle roofs leak. Old flashing is replaced, and drip edge is added where it's missing.

In summer we start early, before the roof surface is at its hottest. Old roof off, deck repaired, new system installed and the site cleaned daily.
Permit sign-off, a walkthrough with you, closeout photos and your warranty documents.
Underlayment complete. Tile loading this afternoon.
Most shingles have a heat-activated sealant strip that bonds in the sun after installation, but hot asphalt also softens and scuffs underfoot. In summer we schedule work for the cooler morning hours and keep foot traffic off finished slopes. Shingle replacements typically need a permit with your city or Clark County, and we handle it along with any HOA submittal.

It depends on the shingle line, attic ventilation and how much sun each slope gets. Desert heat and UV are hard on asphalt, and south- and west-facing slopes usually wear first. Your manufacturer's warranty states the rated life, and good ventilation helps you get the most of it.
Architectural shingles are laminated, so they're thicker and have more dimension than 3-tab shingles, and they generally carry higher wind ratings and longer warranties. They're what we install on shingle replacements, and we'll show you options in your HOA's approved colors.
Yes, when they're rated and installed for it. Many architectural shingles carry ASTM D7158 Class H or ASTM D3161 Class F wind ratings. Those ratings depend on following the manufacturer's nailing pattern and starter strip details, so installation matters as much as the shingle.
Code allows it in limited cases, but we don't recommend it. Layering hides deck damage, adds weight and can shorten the new roof's life. We tear off to the deck so we can check and repair the sheathing, then install a complete new shingle system.
Yes, with the right practices. Hot shingles soften and can scuff, so we start early in the day, limit foot traffic on finished areas and handle bundles carefully. Sun after installation actually helps the sealant strips bond the shingles together.
Often, but it's a structural question first. Concrete tile is much heavier than shingle, so we confirm your framing can carry the new load before pricing it. You'll also need HOA approval if your community has one, and we prepare that submittal for you.
In most cases, yes. We pull it under our license with your city or Clark County, schedule the required inspections and keep the signed-off permit in your closeout file. If you're only repairing a few shingles, we'll confirm whether a permit applies.
The manufacturer's material warranty plus Mustang's written workmanship warranty of [X] years, both spelled out in your contract. Installing to the manufacturer's specifications, including ventilation and nailing, is what keeps the material warranty valid. You'll get copies of both at closeout.
