Mid-century roofs that have earned a replacement.
Mustang Roofing is a roofing contractor in East Las Vegas for shingle, flat, foam and tile roofs on the valley's older homes, permitted with the city or Clark County.
As a roofing contractor in East Las Vegas, we work on some of the oldest housing in the valley. Huntridge was built mostly from 1939 through the mid-1950s, Paradise Palms opened in 1960, and much of Sunrise Manor and Whitney went up from the 1970s through the 1990s.
That age shows on the roof. Shingles have lost their granules, flat and low-slope sections over additions and carports have been patched more than once, and foam roofs have gone past their recoat date. Older decks can be soft from years of slow leaks. Many of these homes are better off with a full replacement than another repair, and your photo report will show you which one yours needs.
East Las Vegas isn't one jurisdiction. Huntridge and other neighborhoods inside city limits are permitted through the City of Las Vegas, while Sunrise Manor, Whitney, Winchester and Paradise are unincorporated Clark County. Many older streets here have no HOA, but historic neighborhoods can have their own considerations, so we check before we write the scope.
East-side work is mostly full replacements of shingle, flat and foam roofs, deck repairs priced per sheet, and foam recoats on low-slope sections.
Keep your tile, replace what's failing beneath it.
Full tear-off and a new system, permitted and HOA-approved.
Slipped tile, flashing and monsoon damage, fixed properly.
Spray foam, coatings and low-slope sections.
Your address decides whether the City of Las Vegas or Clark County reviews your roof. We look up your parcel, pull the permit under our license and, if you do have an HOA, prepare that submittal as well.
Photo report and a written scope that matches your HOA's material rules.
Tile profile, color samples and specs packaged for design review.
We track the review and answer questions from the committee.
With approval in hand, we pull the permit and schedule your install.
It depends on your address. Neighborhoods inside city limits, such as Huntridge, go through the City of Las Vegas Department of Building and Safety. Unincorporated areas like Sunrise Manor, Whitney, Winchester and Paradise go through the Clark County Department of Building & Fire Prevention. We confirm your parcel and pull the permit with the right office.
In most cases, yes. A full re-roof generally needs a permit whether or not you have an HOA, and the inspections protect you if you sell or file an insurance claim later. We pull the permit under our license, schedule the inspections and give you the signed-off permit with your closeout documents.
Sometimes, but it takes a structural check first. Concrete tile is much heavier than shingle, and many older east-side homes were framed for a lighter roof. We look at the rafters and deck from the attic before pricing anything. If the framing can't carry tile, a quality architectural shingle or foam system may be the better fit.
Most single-family homes take a few working days once materials are on site. Older homes may need more deck repair, and multiple shingle layers take longer to tear off. Deck repairs are priced per sheet in your contract, so even hidden damage has a known cost, and your written schedule lists every step.
Possibly. Both neighborhoods are recognized for their historic and mid-century character, and some homes may be subject to additional review. We check with the right office before we finalize the scope, and we can recommend materials and profiles that keep the original roofline looking right, especially on low-slope mid-century designs.
